If you are just starting your home-based business, send an email to all those you know who may be interested in the product or service you are selling.
It does not matter if many of them are just your friends and family. Your main aim now is to get the word out about your business.
If you already have a database of existing clients, you could send them an email announcing the launch of your new product or service.
Request the readers to pass along the information to their friends, family and colleagues who might also be interested in what you are offering.
Next, you may have a list of people or businesses that have opted to receive mails about a certain topic. If you do not have a ready list, you could contact companies that can provide you with such lists.
Don't send spam!
The most important thing to remember is that you should never send unsolicited mail to people you don’t know or even people who you know but have not requested for any information from you.
This would be considered spam and might even cost you any goodwill that you already possess.
